Today, Thursday, 14 June has been presented the
CineEurope Awards Ceremony hosted by the Coca-Cola Company, at the Centre
Convencions Internacional Barcelona (CCIB) in Barcelona, Spain.
Haifaa Al Mansour, Film Director and Screenwriter, has
been named the first recipient of the “Special Recognition” award at CineEurope
for her remarkable achievements as an industry leader in the kingdom of Saudi
Arabia. Al Mansour is known as the first female director in Saudi Arabia.
Jean-Pierre Decrette, until recently Director of
Development at Cinémas Gaumont Pathé, has been named as the 2018 recipient of
the UNIC Achievement Award, given each year in recognition of outstanding
dedication and service to European cinema exhibition.
Patrick Wachsberger, Co-Chairman of the Lionsgate
Motion Picture Group, has been named as the 2018 recipient of the
“International Distributor of the Year” award at CineEurope.
ComScore’s International Box Office Achievement Award has
gone to Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Internationals’ Star Wars: The last
Jedi.

June at the Centre Convencions Internacional Barcelona (CCIB) in Barcelona,
