Today, Thursday, 20 June has been presented the
CineEurope Awards Ceremony hosted by the Coca-Cola Company, at the Centre
Convencions Internacional Barcelona (CCIB) in Barcelona, Spain.
Peter Fornstam, from Svenska Bio and Swedish
Exhibitors Association, has been named as the 2019 recipient of the UNIC
Achievement Award, given each year in recognition of outstanding dedication and
service to European cinema exhibition.
ComScore’s International Box Office Achievement Award
has gone to Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Internationals’ Avengers:
Infinity War.
International Exhibitor of the Year has gone to Blitz-CineStar
Mark Viane, President of International Theatrical
Distribution, and Mary Daily, Co-President, Worldwide Marketing &
Distribution at Paramount Pictures have been named as the 2019 recipients of
the “International Distributor of the Year” award at CineEurope.
CineEurope Gold Awards have gone to Simon Brown
(FCPA),Marcin Czubak (Helios), Kam Dosanjh (Vue International), Rolv Gjestland (Film
& Kino), Jaime Gerbolés (Yelmo Cines), Valeria Kurohtina (Cinamon), Duncan
Reynolds (Odeon Cinemas Group), Carola Schmid (Cineplexx). The Gold Awards,
introduced at CineEurope 2018, recognise those individuals who have made an
exceptional contribution both to the ongoing success of their company or
organisation and also to the wider European cinema industry.
CineEurope 2019 has been taking place since 17 to 20
June at the Centre Convencions Internacional Barcelona (CCIB) in Barcelona,
Spain. CineEurope is the longest-running and most successful European
convention and trade show for Major, Regional, and Independent cinema professionals.
